Gotcha Day!!!

This is Ella's main caregiver.  It was definitely a tearful goodbye.  She was trying to be strong, but she couldn't help but start to cry, which made me start to cry, which made Adam start to cry. Then she handed Ella to me and quickly walked out the door.  I am so thankful for her, yet my heart absolutely ached for her.

 All dolled up with daddy!

 Mommy's lil' princess!

So many frills, ruffles, and bows!

We brought this balloon on our first visit, and it's been in this room ever since.  :)

We gotcha sweet girl... and we love you!
After that, we picked up her passport and headed back to Moscow.  It was a long five hours, mostly because the traffic in Moscow is horrendous... any time of day.  Ella was such a trooper though.  She never once complained the entire ride.  Finally the stop and go of the traffic was too much for her little body (who had only ever been in a car to get her passport picture our first trip) and she threw up all over her pretty dress.  Poor sweet girl.  Thankfully, we were almost to the hotel.  She was more than happy to get out of the car and loved her first bath even more.  It was so much fun to see her splash in the tub and run around our hotel room full of smiles.  Now she has been sleeping peacefully in her crib without a single peep all night.  Such a trooper, our little girl...  :)

It takes special people to work in an orphanage, care for those kids and then let them go. I bet it's the hardest and most wonderful thing at the same time. I love your entire story, keep the posts coming!!
